Back to Previous Page Click image to enlarge    Led Zeppelin - Fully Signed Melody Maker Readers' Poll Press Kit An extremely rare press folder announcing the winners of the Melody Maker Readers' Poll, 1979, signed by the members of Led Zeppelin. Zeppelin dominated the awards that year, winning Band of the Year, Top Live Act, Top Album, Best Composers, Top Male Singer, Top Guitarist, and Top Producer (all the winners are noted on the 5 page press release inside the folder.) Robert Plant, John Bonham, and John Paul Jones appeared at a luncheon honoring the winners on November 28, 1979, where this was almost certainly signed, boldly in blue pen. Jimmy Page signed in black pen, very likely soon afterward, as his signature dates from that era. John Paul Jones signs "Good Luck" before his name, Page adds "Best Wishes," as does John Bonham. Authentic Led Zeppelin autographs are extremely rare (almost all of those offered for sale are unfortunately forgeries) and this set is as large and bold as we've ever seen. This signed folder is actually pictured on the official Led Zeppelin website ( http://www.ledzeppelin.com/image-galleries/memorabilia/general?page=3 ), as well as having been authenticated by renown music autograph authenticator Roger Epperson, who's letter of authenticity is included. The folder measures 11 3/4" x 8 1/4", and is in excellent condition. On the reverse is the name and phone number of UK journalist Steve Gett. Guaranteed authentic with no time limit, in writing.
